le jardin du Luxembourg
Bonjour mes amis! As some of you know, last week was our 20th Anniversary. Rob thought it might be nice to celebrate the occasion in Paris. He hadn't visited the city since he was a boy and I have never been there. So it was a perfect choice. We arrived mid Saturday morning and by early afternoon we were strolling in one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, not very far from our hotel.
The palace and gardens were built by Marie de Medicis, the wife of Henri IV. The gardens were completed in 1625.Today the palace is home to the French Senate and the gardens are easily accessible by the public.
The afternoon we walked through a small part of it, there were visitors with cameras :), students from the Sorbonne singing some kind of song and families with children. People in groups were enjoying picnics spread out on the grass and children were sailing boats in the pond. A great place to enjoy a really warm summer day.
There will be a few more posts about our trip Paris. If you enjy this one please let me know by leaving your comments just below this story. Then check back for more :0 A bientot!
